| Internal Halyard System with Winch
The “Guardian I” Internal Halyard
To eliminate vandalism, an internal halyard system should be considered. The Guardian I is our top-grade internal system, utilizing a stainless steel gearless winch mounted inside the pole shaft. In place of rope halyard, a stainless steel aircraft cable passes from the winch through the interior of the shaft and over the truck pulley. The cable is then attached to a retainer ring and neoprene-coated counterweight which permit the flag to be lowered for removal. The winch is serviced through a locking flush-mounted access door.
The key feature of this system - the winch is operated with a hand crank inserted through a small hole in the shaft. The access door never needs to be opened to operate the winch. This improved winch is self-locking at any point and allows the rapid raising or lowering of the flag with little effort and with complete safety.
The Guardian I is available on any pole with a butt diameter of 6” or greater.
